Our next baby, a little boy, will be joining our family this summer. He is due to arrive on June 3rd, my sister Kylie's birthday. She's definitely more excited to share her birthday with a nephew then Gunner was with his neice. When we were going to be scheduled to be induced on his birthday we asked him if he would be willing to share his birthday and he did not like the idea of having to share his party and birthday cake. I think he was only 5 at the time but he knew he wanted his special day to be all his. My brother Tyler's birthday is June 1st and he wouldn't mind sharing a birthday either. Tyler will be coming home from his Mexican mission on June 24th. We're hoping to make it to Utah to his homecoming so he can meet both of his nephews. Jaegen was born 4 months after he left and this baby will be born right before he returns.
This pregnancy has gone better than my first two. I'm now in my third trimester and so far so good. With my first baby I threw up and was sick throughout the morning but throughout the afternoons I felt good and I don't think it ever really went away during the 9 months and with my second I was nauseous throughout the whole day but never threw up. With this baby I've been nauseous on and off, I haven't thrown up and some days I forget I'm pregnant and others I'm just tired. If my pregnancies just keep getting easier then by the time we're done they'll be like my mom's and just pretty much "walk out" at the end of 9 simple months. We can hope.
We found out we're having a boy, which was a shock to me. I'm still trying to get used to calling the baby a him. I really thought it was going to be a girl and I hadn't been wrong on my previous pregnancies. We started coming up with girl names and now we are switching to boy names, which so far are turning out to be harder to come up with. Derrick wasn't sure on it being a girl, so maybe he is better at knowing then I am. He's been incredibly supportive and loving throughout this pregnancy, even though it is happening while he's going through his first year of teaching, which has definitely had its rough points.
Tori and Jaegen are getting used to the idea of having a new baby around. I don't know that they really understand it yet, but they know that mommy has a baby in her tummy and they have gone to all the doctor apts so far to hear the heart beat and Tori loves the ultra sounds. My preschool lessons with her have unfortunately not been consistant but she does have an ABC book that we work on writing letters with and we go to the library on tuesdays for storytime and a craft and to the local university on wednesday mornings for storytime were they give her a new book every week. We will hopefully be starting up playground trips with some friends on Fridays now that its getting warmer too. Jaegen is running around and will be able to have more fun on the playground this year. I'm so greatful for my wonderful husband and children. I love that we'll be meeting a new member of our family soon.
I'm also excited that this baby will have plenty of family to play with. On Derricks side there are three of his cousins pregnant right now. On my side I have 5 second cousins pregnant, one with the same due date as me, and 4 aunts pregnant, and one that just had a baby in November. It's fun to be part of a growing family.
