I started this blog a year ago around Valentines, showing what our family had done to celebrate Valentines day, so I figure it's only fitting to show what we did for Valentines this year. It was a lot of fun figuring out different things to make with the kids. I wish I would have taken more pictures, but we have lots of fun memories. I love that I get to celebrate love with my little family. We get to make things and give them to each other and be creative together. Tori gets so excited to put things in her daddy's Valentines box. Next year we'll have another little boy to celebrate with us and another little Valentine box to make. We're enjoying creating our own little traditions as we go. We make a Valentine each day of February leading up to the 14th. On Valentines we get to open our boxes and look at all the different Valentines and then we get to have a fun Valentines dinner as a family. Derrick and I will go out on our own later in the week, although after we put the kids to bed we exchange our own little Valentines (this year I got him chocolates and he got me chocolates, a balloon, and a teddy bear. We watched a show together and then he gave me a massage. I have a wonderfully sweet husband!) Derrick and I also did our Valentine's countdown that we did last year. Each day we had a little task given to us to do for each other through out the day. We danced to our wedding song, we did a crossword puzzle together (first to finish got a 2 minute massage), we wrote cheesy Valentines for each other, etc. It was fun.

That is a super cute way of doing valentines day. I may consider copying you for next year, when I (hopefully) have more energy. Thank you for the sweet birthday letter you wrote me. I hope you had a wonderful birthday as well. I wish we lived closer to each other. Oh and congratulations on your little boy!! It's so fun to have two of the same gender in a row.
