Derrick, the amazing husband he is, made my birthday so special! During the day he had to be at school but when he got home he wrapped a bunch of gifts for me. It was really cute. I was sitting on the couch feeding Jaegen so he made me close my eyes while he made three trips through the living room to bring my gifts into our bedroom so he could wrap them and bring them out to me.
I got to open one of the gifts, a shirt from the teacher Derrick is working with at Timpview. He and Derrick seem to be becoming good friends, they work together really well. I was really surprised still to get a gift from him. As Derrick was getting ready to leave for the day the teacher he works with handed him the gift to give to me. It was a German Timpview shirt. (Derrick is doing his student teaching at Timpview).
We went to dinner at Tucanos. If you've never been there, you should go. It is a brazilian grill that is so good. We go there for most of our birthday dinners. He tried to surprise me with where we were going to dinner by going the long way, driving into Orem before turning back towards Tucanos.
When we got home I got to open the rest of my gifts. Tori got me "The Biggest Loser" game for the Wii. Jaegen finished my Harry Potter collection by getting me the second book of the series. Derrick got me a food processor, which I was so excited for! I've been on a kick, trying tons of new dinner foods. He also got me a fireproof, waterproof safe, for our important documents. We had talked about getting one to put all our birth certificates, wedding license, etc. in, but they were too expensive. Derrick was abe to save up and get me one though. He's so wonderful! I really am so blessed!
